What we do.

Nordic Walking UK strive to ensure that Nordic Walking is introduced to the British Public in way that ensures they get the most benefit from it, are safe and above all, enjoy it! We are the original Nordic Walking company in the UK and the largest training provider.

Our Master Trainer Martin Christie has been involved in the promotion and development of Nordic Walking in the UK since 2003 and has personally trained in excess of 800 Instructors - Individuals and employees of PCTs and Local Authorities.

Our National Tutors are all experienced Nordic Walkers who understand the variations of technique available worldwide and have worked with us to develop what we believe, is the safest and most effective technique. Our Tutors are ALL a minimum of REPs level 3 or Sports Science graduates and CYQ Tutors/Assessors

NWUK also offer a comprehensive support structure to all Instructors - we provide poles, websites, marketing and a range of additional courses to help them continue to develop and succeed.

Our team have comprehensive expertise in Health promotion, GP Referral, Health and Safety and Qualification standards.

Our parent company is owned by a former Director of the Fitness Industry association who was also involved in the development of the Register of Exercise professionals and is the driving force behind 'Exercise Anywhere' a new concept in outdoor fitness delivery.

In 2008 the brand name of Nordic Walking UK was acquired by Exercise Anywhere Ltd.

There are now over 1,000 qualified Instructors in the UK who were trained by OUR team (even if they are listed on other websites and use the INWA badge) and NWUK are passionate about the many benefits this simple activity has to offer.

Nordic Walking is so adaptable that it is ideal for a range of uses from wellness initiatives to cross training for Athletes – we understand and appreciate the different applications and are happy to provide any support required to make it a success.
